Creative Arts are an essential part of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ experience. Throughout our academic and extracurricular programs, we specifically nurture our students' innate creative drive, inspiring them to explore the inviting world of artistic expression. Through music, the visual arts, drama, and other mediums, students produce art that reinforces learning, introduces beauty and meaning into their world, and brings our community together.

Drama Productions
51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ students have plenty of opportunity to sing, dance, and act their way into the hearts of an audience. Directed by our Drama and Music teachers, students at all levels have the chance to participate in a musical, a play, or other dramatic production several times a year. Produced with lighting, sets, and sound, these performances are the highlights of the school year.
Music: Choir & Band
Choir and Band
Starting in Grade 5, students dive into their curricular music experience by studying their voice or an instrument, participating year round in Music through either Band or Choral Performance. These exciting ensemble courses are extended through festival experiences which are special events our whole community can enjoy.
Visual Arts
Visual Arts
Step onto campus and you'll see that we love to feature student artwork, from paintings hung in hallways to murals and other large-scale collaborative works brightening courtyards. Arts evenings at all levels bring parents in for displays of student work, with a 12th grade exhibition specially highlighting the portfolios of our diploma program students.
Audio & Lighting Technicians

Primary Talent Show
Primary Talent Show
An annual talent show provides students of all ages the chance to showcase a variety of talents to the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ community. These shows are full-production events held in our large Performing Arts Center complete with sound, lighting, and backstage support. Crowd-favorite acts such as step dancing and vocal solos are greeted with wild applause and become highlights of the school year.
Coffee House
Secondary Coffee House
Regular coffee houses give secondary students a chance to express themselves creatively in a supportive, relaxed environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents, which can range from spoken word to song to instrumental pieces to drama and more! These events provided students with the opportunity to express themselves in a variety of ways. One of the IB learner profile attributes we celebrate is that of risk-taker, and this event provides students with a chance to develop confidence presenting in front of a crowd.
After School Program
After School Music Instrument and Voice Program
Private Music Lessons challenge and inspire over 50 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ students throughout the year, every single week, as they develop their music literacy and performance skills on a wide variety of instruments. Paired with local instructors, Kindergarten through Grade 12 students can take individual lessons in piano, guitar, voice, percussion, woodwinds, brass, and other instruments.

Community Choir
Community ChoirLet's admit it... we've all eventually come to the reluctant realization that our voices seem to sound so much more impressive within the secluded acoustics of our showers, than in "the real world"... yet every day at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ, students and adults choose to be courageous enough to share their voices and their songs with one another and with the wider 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ community. Could it be that there is something more to this singing thing?
Perhaps the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ Community Choir has figured it out. Its members have decided to leave their hairbrush-microphones at home once a week, joining their voices in song for an hour and a half each Wednesday evening. Through their experiences, they are discovering that current research is really true: the scientifically proven benefits of group singing are physical, emotional, social, and... Well, come and see, come and sing, come and experience for yourself!
